Dr. M.P. Wylie helps men and women understand, respect, and appreciate each other in personal and professional relationships. Her approach combines specific communication skills and techniques based on 30 years of extensive education, training, research and experience in building lasting and loving relationships to create happiness, stability, health, and romance. Her programs, books, consulting, and seminars provide practical insights for improving relationships at all stages of life and love.
M.P. is an active member of Healthy Relationships Orange County and Healthy Relationships California, and founding board member of the National Association for Relationship and Marriage Education. She has a doctorate in psychology from the Union Institute and University and a double masters and B.A. from Ottawa University.
M.P.’s Journey to Love Program, launched in 2003, was in such high demand that she wrote a complimentary edition, Summit of Your Potential, that is specifically geared for men.
M.P. is the founder of a community nonprofit organization that successfully managed healthy marriage federal grants for six years in Southern California, serving over 7000 families. The selected evidence-based programs helped families and couples have better relationships and communication skills, with a research outcome of 94% recommending the programs and 89% of surveyed couples showing improved communication and relationship skills from 16 hours of learning, coaching, and practicing new skills.
M.P. is founding director of the newly opened Amore Retreat Idyllwild, where she specializes in Couples’ Renewal Intensives. She continues to speak at national conferences, teach seminars, write and provide consulting to couples and individuals. She is the proud mother of five grown children who are now married and have blessed her with 13 grandchildren. She thrives on family fun time together and nurturing friendships. She enjoys the great outdoors, photography, hiking, movies, interior design, gardening, entertaining, travel and her fluffy white six-pound Maltese companion Bella.
